Biography

Athos is a member of the research team of Prof. Diofantos Hadjimitsis in the Remote Sensing and Geo-environment Lab (Eratosthenis Research Center) at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in Cyprus University of Technology. He studied at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, and after his studies he gained an MSc in the Graduate Program "Geomatics" of the same university. He has also completed postgraduate studies at the Graduate Program "Mediterranean Archaeology: from Prehistory to Late Antiquity", University of Cyprus. Then he drafted his doctoral dissertation at the Cyprus University of Technology under the title "Remote Sensing and Archaeology".

Research Intrest

His main research interests are the collection and processing of remote sensing data, GIS and their applications in archeology and cultural heritage, specific spectral signatures data processing from ground hyperspectral receivers etc.
