Biography

Antonios Nestoras is an Adjunct Professor of international affairs in the Vesalius College of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Previously, Antonios served as policy advisor for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats, the third largest political group in the European Parliament, as well as legislative and political advisor to Members of the European Parliament. He has held positions in the International Relations Service of the EPP Group in the European Parliament and the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies. Antonios holds a BA in International and European, Economic and Political Studies (University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki) and an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy (Leiden Universiteit, Netherlands). Since 2013, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the Institute for European Studies of the VUB (expecting completion in 2017). Antonios is a laureate of the Huygens Scholarship for International Talent. He is part of the European Foreign and Security Policy cluster in the IES.
