Biography

Anany Hany is currently working in University of Guelph as a research scientistin the Department of Food Science along with that he is an eminent member in the Visiting Scientist International Society for Viruses of Microorganisms (ISVM), International Association for Food Protection (IAFP),American Society for Microbiology (ASM), Canadian Society of Microbiologists (CSM). Now he is working on the research projects:Setting up a lab to develop the Bacteriophage Research Program at AAFC-Guelph Research and Development Centre. Establishing protocols and procedures for building an in-house bacteriophage collection against various important foodborne pathogens (Bacteriophage Bank).

Research Intrest

Isolation, characterization and genome analysis of bacteriophages and their interaction with their bacterial hosts, Development of novel bacteriophage-based techniques to detect and control various bacterial foodborne pathogens in order to enhance food safety Development of bacteriophage-based bioactive materials.
