Biography

ZENG Changqing, director of CAS Key Lab of Genomic & Precision Medicine, obtained her Bachelor and Master degree at Beijing Normal University, and Ph.D. degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Zeng had her postdoc training at Baylor College of Medicine and worked as a research assistant professor at University of Texas Houston Medical School before 2002. She was the Steering Committee member of the International HapMap Project, the coordinator of the Chinese HapMap Consortium and responsible for the HapMap China Chapter which covers 10% of phase 1 data production. She has over 70 papers published including in journals of Nature, Nature genetics, PNAS, etc. Dr. Zeng was the awardee of National Talents of New Century Project, National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the CAS Hundred-Talent Program etc. Currently, Dr. Zeng serves as the CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) representative of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health, a Panel Member of Human Genetic Resources Administration of China, and a Panel Member of the MOST (the Ministry of Science and Technology) for the National Major Research Plan in Precision Medicine.
