Yigit Ozcelik graduated from Middle East Technical University in 2010. Between 2013 and 2017, he was enrolled as a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. His dissertation research focused on the seismic behavior of steel plate shear walls. Before entering The University of Texas at Austin, he worked as a structural design engineer, and he served as a graduate research and teaching assistant during his Ph.D. studies.
