Winifred K. Rossi, M.A., is the deputy director of the Division of Geriatrics and Clinical Gerontology at the National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institutes of Health. She is a gerontologist and demographer with research interests in factors that contribute to healthy long life. Prior to joining the NIA in 1995, she worked in Alzheimer’s disease patient care in Philadelphia, in health care policy on the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging, and on caregiver research at the White House Conference on Aging.
