Biography

Dr. Wei Zhiyi, young people in the group of young people plan to be selected, Shenzhen, overseas high-level talent. Graduated from the University of Science and Technology in China, received a doctorate; then went to the United States University of Washington for postdoctoral research; 2009 to 2013, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as assistant professor of research; October 2013 joined the Southern University of Science and Technology. Dr. Wei has long been active in the field of structural biology research, mainly using structural biology research methods, combined with biochemical and biophysical techniques to study the molecular mechanism of neural development in the brain and protein molecular machine assembly mechanism and target Recognition mechanism, trying to analyze the brain function from the atomic resolution level, explain the brain disease, for the treatment of brain disease to provide a theoretical basis. Related research results have been widely recognized by international counterparts, since 2009, published in the "Nature", "Science", "Cell", "Molecular Cell", "Nature Structural & Molecular Biology", "PNAS" and other international academic journals The total number of papers is more than 20, including the first author of the article 8, the author of the article 3.
