Wei Kang was Professor in Department of Applied Mathematics, Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. PhD - UC Davis, 1991, MS - Nankai University, China, 1985, BS - Nankai University, China, 1982. His teaching interest was in Dynamical Systems, Control Theory, O.D.E, Bifurcation and Chaos.

Wei Kang research interest was in Nonlinear control theory with engineering applications, including bifurcation control, normal forms and invariants, H-infinity control, formation control, and their applications in the control of aircraft, engine compressors, and autonomous vehicles.
