WANGAI JOHN KIMARI is a professor of Geology at university of Nairobi

Research Intrest

• Laser applications in atomic and molecular spectroscopy: Laser cooling, trapping and manipulation of atoms and molecules (Bose-Einstein and Fermionic condensation phenomena) and Quark-Gluon interactions. • Laser applications in environmental monitoring: Transport and deposition of air pollutants, green house gases, ambient water vapor and variations atmospheric pressure and temperature. • Non-intrusive laser applications in medicine and biological specimens using diode laser based optical tweezers especially on Disease diagnostics and DNA characterization. • Practical applications of microcomputers in electronics systems: Instrument control under the LABVIEWTM and MATLAB™ platforms, Robotics • Software development under Windows® development environment: Web site design, development and maintenanc
