Biography

The Noblesville, Ind., native comes to UJ from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., where he was a graduate assistant for an Owl program that ranked in the top 10 in the country in both men's and women's golf. "Vince is a great young coaching talent and we are fortunate to have him join our staff," said University of Jamestown Athletics Director Sean Johnson. "He was the consummate student-athlete as an undergraduate and has embraced a modern day approach to the game which will benefit our Jimmie golf student-athletes." Drahman helped the Owls to a fourth-place finish at the men's NAIA championship tournament while the women finished eighth at the NAIA women's championships. This summer, Drahman caddied for William Woods' golfers at the British Men's Amateur Championship. "I am excited to be here at UJ," said Drahman. "I want to thank the University for giving a young coach like myself a chance to lead this program. I'm excited to work with the people of Jamestown and the student-athletes in order to continue to grow the Jimmie golf culture." Drahman began his college career at the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) before transferring back to his home state to play for Marian University in Indianapolis his final two seasons. During his time with the Knights, he was named the Marian Student-Athlete of the Year, was a second team NAIA All-America selection, a two-time All-Crossroads League pick, and was a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. As a senior, he finished 48th at the NAIA championships, tied for third at the Crossroads League championships, and helped Marian achieve its highest national ranking ever at #11. In his junior season, Drahman was a first team all-conference selection as the Knights' top finisher, tying for 5th place at the Crossroad League championships. He also finished 15th at the NAIA Classic played at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course, which features holes inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indianapolis 500. He also coached at the Nike MBSC Sports Camp in Boston and was a trainer at FitGolf in Indianapolis. Drahman is a graduate of Marian University and is working towards his master's degree from William Woods.
