Vasia Doudaki is Assistant Professor of Journalism and Media at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies of the Cyprus University of Technology and coordinator of the postgraduate program of European Journalism offered by the same Department. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, specializing in sociology of news production (2004) and a degree from the same department (1996). Dr. Doudaki worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Panteion University (2007-2009). He has taught at the Panteion University (2005-2010) and the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government (2007 - 2009). At the same time, he worked as a journalist for many years on printed and online media (Athens).
Her research and writing work focuses on the study of the representations of crises and conflicts in the media, the production of meaning in fiction and informative content, the organization of news production in "mature" and "new" media, as well as the study of journalistic identities and the review of journalistic practices at the time of the internet. In general, his research stigma is located within the fields of study of journalism and cultural studies.
