Graduated from Fakir Mohan University, Odisha with Top Merit in Sociology (Honours). He obtained his M.A. in Sociology from the Ravenshaw Autonomous College, (Estd. in 1868) Cuttack (Presently, Ravenshaw University). He has done his M.Phil and PhD from Devi Ahilya University, Indore (M.P.). During his M. Phil, he was awarded Dr. Ambedkar Chair Fellowship and received Institutional Doctoral Fellowship from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Institute of Social Sciences, Mhow, Indore for his PhD research. Dr. Panda has published many research papers in refereed journals including chapters in edited volumes. Prior to joining HNLU, he has worked with University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada; NCERT, New Delhi; MPISSR, Ujjain and BANISS, Mhow in various research projects. He was invited as a Speaker for the prestigious “Discoveries Speaker Series” organized by the University of the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada in February 2012. Presently, he is interested in Sociology of Law, Indian Social Systems, Social Cognition, Gender Issues, Sociology of Development and Research Methods.
