He earned his Ph.D. in Business from Jackson State University and a Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Valdosta State University. Prior to joining the SSU faculty in the fall of 2004, Dr. Brown served ten years in the United States Navy as an enlisted man and served three years on board the USS Dahlgren (DDG-43), which was home ported in Norfolk, VA. In his leisure time, he enjoys bowling, listening to jazz, and traveling.
Dr. Brown's research interests include ethics, propensity for military service, organizational performance and unit cohesion in military units, and work-family conflict.
