Tommy Nienhaus Head Coach - 5th Season ïƒ [email protected] ï‚• Ext. 5515 Tommy Nienhaus enters his fourth year at Jamestown. Since he has taken over, the Jimmies spent time ranked in each of his seasons and have enjoyed a run of 5 straight 10+ win seasons. Nienhaus himself has amassed a career record of 38-15-5 in just 3 seasons with 2 conference finals at UJ. In three years, Tommy has helped develop three players who have earned professional contracts after graduating UJ--Matt Balshaw (2014), Ben Eastwell (2015) and Jack Humphries (2016). He has also coached numerous All-Conference and All-American players as well as Academic All-Americans. Not only has the program thrived on the field under Nienhaus, but in the classroom as well. The men’s soccer team earned the 2015 & 2016 NSCAA Academic Team award. The team regularly achieves a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Jack Keeling (’15) was a two time Capital One Academic All-American. Before coming to Jamestown, Tommy was an assistant coach at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School, a private boarding school with a residential soccer program, in Minnesota. Shattuck plays in the USSF Development Academy. During his time there he helped two different teams to a National Final (2010 & 2013). At Shattuck, he coached several Regional and National level players. Nienhaus has a Master’s of Science in Exercise Science with an Emphasis in Rehabilitation Sciences from California University of Pennsylvania (’09). He holds a Bachelor of General Studies from IUPUI (’07). He holds a USSF “A” license and a NSCAA National and National GK Diploma. In addition, he coaches youth with Jamestown Soccer Club and is involved with ODP as a Dakota ODP State Staff Coach and serves on the Region II Staff. He is also the Competitive Chair for North Dakota Soccer Association (NDSA), which oversees competitive club soccer in ND. Tommy currently resides in Jamestown with his wife, Cathy and two children, Adalyn and Daygen.
