Tomasz Cierpicki, PhD

Associate Professor
Pathology
University of Michigan

Biography

Dr. Cierpicki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Michigan. His research interest is in structural biology of cancer associated proteins and in development of small molecule inhibitors targeting cancer related proteins. His laboratory has developed first inhibitors of the menin-MLL interaction as a new potential therapeutic strategy in MLL leukemias. Efforts in Dr. Cierpicki’s laboratory involve application of structural biology and chemical biology approaches to develop therapeutic agents for novel epigenetic targets in cancer.

Research Intrest

The research in Cierpicki laboratory is focused on understanding the structure and function of proteins related to cancer and design small molecule inhibitors of protein-protein interaction.
