Biography

Dr. Tomaž Mertelj born in 1965 and completed his Phd in 1996 from the University of Ljubljana. He awarded in 1989 University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Science and Technology: The Presern prize for B. Sc. work Compression of optical pulses by means of optical fiber 1998 Institute Jozef Stefan: The Jozef Stefan Golden Emblem Prize Award for Ph.D. thesis."

Research Intrest

Ultrafast optical and THz spectroscopy in the giant magnetoresistance manganites and related materials. Monte-Carlo simulations of charged particles ordering in presence of anisotropic short range interaction. Vortex physics in mesoscopic superconductors.
