Biography

Tapani Yli-Mattila is Adjunct Professor of Mycology in Department of Molecular Plant Biology,University of Turku. He is currently involved in study of Plant-fungus interactions, molecular biology and evolution of toxigenic Fusarium species and biological control .

Research Intrest

Monitoring the genetic variation, distribution and quantification of plant-pathogenic F. graminearum and F. langsethiae isolates as well as studying phylogeny of entomopathogenic Metarhizium and Verticillium species and trying to find molecular markers for Metarhizium and Verticilliumisolates used in biological control.
