He did graduation B.A in Economics, obtained bachelors degree in law B.L, and LLM Constitutional law and Administrative law, all from Nagarjuna University. He pursued M.Phil, PHD international law, both from Jawaharlal Nehru University. New Delhi. His LLM dissertation was in International Law entitled "Role of International Court of Justice in the development of international law". M.Phil dissertation was in International Refugee Law, entitled "Contemporary Refugee crisis and the application of Preventive Measures: An Overview". Doctoral thesis entitled "The protection of human rights in non-international armed conflicts and the emerging international criminal law". Dr. Sudhakar He is also involved in guiding of LL.B, LL.M and Ph.D. students at NUJS. He is the head/coordinator of the School of Public Law and Governance (SPLG). As a part of the School activities, he organised number of conferences including, organized the Panel discussion on Witness Protection in 2004, the colloquium on the national rural employment guarantee BILL in 2004 and organized in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) a workshop on international humanitarian law in 2007. He was member of the University Scholarship Committee from 2003-2006, presently member of the University PG Committee, member of the Centre for the Human Rights and Citizenship Studies, and also the faculty adviser to the Society of International Law and Politics (SILP).
