SUN Yifeng is currently Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Professor of Translation Studies at Lingnan University, Honorary Professor at the University of Queensland, Adjunct Chair Professor at Jinan University where he also serves as the Honorary Director of the Institute for Intercultural and Translation Studies, as well as Affiliate Professor at Southwest University and some other institutions. He was educated or conducted research at the Universities of Nanjing, Cardiff, Westminster, Cambridge, Leiden and Oxford. He is former Vice President of the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS), and is now an Executive Council Member of the Translators Association of China (TAC) and a member of the Translation and Culture Committee of the International Federation of Translators (FIT). He is the author of several books, including Cultural Translation (2015), Cultural Exile and Homeward Journey (2005), Perspective, Interpretation and Culture: Literary Translation and Translation Theory (2004; 2nd edition, 2006) and Fragmentation and Dramatic Moments (2002), editor of Translation and Academic Journals: The Evolving Landscape of Scholarly Publishing (2015), co-editor of Translation, Globalisation and Localisation (2008), and co-translator of King of the Wizards (1998) and some other collections of translation in English. His numerous articles and essays have appeared in such academic journals as Modern Language Quarterly, Babel, Across Languages and Cultures, Perspectives, ARIEL: A Review of International English Literature, Comparative Literature Studies, Journal of Multicultural Discourses, Journal of Translation Studies, Neohelicon, Intercultural Communication Studies, Asia Pacific Translation and Intercultural Studies, Journal of Modern Literature in Chinese, International Journal of Linguistics and Communication, TELOS and other journals and collections. He has given academic talks at the Universities of Oxford, London, Newcastle, Hong Kong, Macau and dozens of other universities in mainland China and Taiwan.
