Soraia Meghdadi was born in Mazandaran (Babol),Iran, in 1958 She received a BSc. degree in chemistry from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and MSc. degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Isfahan University of Technology . She was a visiting reseach fellow in 2010 at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of California, Santa Barbara, USA. She has completed a dissertation at the Ph.D level on Feb. 2013,University of Isfahan She has developed new synthetic methodologies for Amide-Thioethers and Benzothiazoles using Ionic liquids as the reaction media. She has also emploied different strategies for the synthesis of transition metal complexes of newly synthesised symmetrical and unsymmetrical Schiff bases and carboxamide ligands.
Synthesis and characterization of M(II) and M(III) complexes with Schiff base ligands. Benign synthesis of amide ligands by the condensation of pyridinecarboxylic acid derivatives with diamines and their transition metal complexes. Preparation of ligands and metal complexes for the fabrication of ion selective electrodes Electrosynthesis of transition metal complexes
