Biography

Born 1958 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Education 1981: MSc, Faculty of Biology, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski Employment: - 1983-2010: biologist at the Institute of Botany, BAS - 2010-present: biologist at the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research, BAS Participation in projects (selected): 1997 - 1999: expert plant biodiversity for NP “Rila” and NP “Central Balkan” of the GEF Project for Biodiversity Conservation in Bulgaria. 2001: expert plant biodiversity for the project of USAID for Rapid Ecological Assessment of Rila Monastery Nature Park. 2002 - 2004: database expert for the Bulgarian National Node database of biological collections for the BioCASE project of the 5th Framework Programme of the EC.

Biodiversity of higher plants; aquatic plants research; are and threatened plants research; monitoring of higher plants.
