Biography

SHISHKOV VASILIY completed his Ph.D. and working as Junior Researcher in the Department of Soil Geography and Evolution. AREAS OF WORK: Russian plain, the Caspian lowland, the northern Caucasus, the Svalbard Archipelago, Antarctica, Central Yakutia.

Research Intrest

Electron microscopic studies, radiocarbon dating, and methodological support allocation of dating fractions, methodical and technical support for analytical studies in geography and soil science. The study of composition and structure of desert varnish and other film formations on the surface of the rock fragments in aridic areas and paleoclimatic interpretation. A study of elementary and primary soil formation processes on the example of tumors and micro soil profiles on rock surfaces and fine-grained material in the Arctic and Antarctic areas. Evaluation of the emission of greenhouse gases and soil carbon balance.
