Biography

Sharmili Jagtap obtained Ph.D. from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. She currently holds as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, School of Life Sciences at Pondicherry University. She has 30 years of research experience. She has been Awarded for the Best Teacher Award: Pondicherry University September 2015; INSA-CSIR-DAE/BRNS-CICS Travel Fellowship by Centre for International Co-operation in Science (CICS), Chennai to attend international conference in France, September 2014; Selected to participate in Science Conclave to interact with Nobel laureates organized by IIIT Allahabad, December 8-14, 2012.
