String Theory (Black Holes, Gauge-gravity duality) I have carried out research in the areas of Elementary Particles Physics and Quantum Gravity. I have worked in the major focus areas of research in the above disciplines e.g. gauge-gravity duality, spacetime singularity resolution and non-commutativity. Currently I am interested in the study of Holographic QCD and Black Holes via Gauge-gravity duality. Gauge-gravity duality (also known as AdS/CFT correspondence) has its origin in String theory and gives a suitable description of gravity in terms of matter degrees of freedom. Recently, the gauge- gravity duality has been used to understand the strong coupling dynamics of QCD. In our recent work, we have computed the spectrum of spin 3/2 baryons (resonances) and pion-nucleon couplings thereof from AdS/QCD perspective. We have also applied the numerical techniques to calculate the electric dipole moment of the Neutron from holographic QCD. The results can be used to put an upper bound on the strong CP-violation parameter, theta.
