Biography

Dr. Houssam Salami is an Assistant Professor at Rafik Hariri University teaching Physics and Mathematics courses. He received his PhD from University of Lyon1 (Claude Bernard) – France, his Master degree from Nuclear Institute of Lyon (IPNL), and his BSc from Lebanese University.

Research Intrest

His research work, in the field of High Resolution Spectroscopy, at the University of Lyon under the supervision of Dr. A. Ross, covered Absorption and Laser Induced Fluorescence Techniques, notably using Continuous-Wave Lasers to selectively excite di- and tri-atomic molecules in gas phase, recording the fluorescence on a Fourier Transform Spectrometer. He optimized the analysis of his data, notably in collaboration with Professor R. Le Roy at Waterloo. His particular specialty led him to continue his academic career at State University of New York at Stony Brook with Professor Thomas Bergeman, where he has been investigating more complex cases of mixing between molecular potential energy curves.
