Biography

Safieh Mahmoodi was born in Isfahan, Iran on May 6, 1973. She received a B.Sc. degree in Statistics from Shiraz University (SU), an M.Sc. degree in Mathematical Statistics from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) and her Ph.D. degree in Probability Theory and Stochastic Processes from SU, Iran. Since 2005 she has been with the Department of Mathematical Sciences, IUT, as an assistant professor. In between, she spent one year as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium.

Research Intrest

 Her research interests include Stochastic Processes and Modeling, particularly Stable processes and random measures and Markov processes also subjects related to applied probability with a focus on Queuing theory and also Statistical inferences and Time series analysis.
