Rudy Andeweg is Professor of Empirical Political Science. He studied political science at Leiden University and at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He received his PhD degree from Leiden University in 1982 with his dissertation Dutch Voters Adrift; on explanations of electoral change (1963-1977). He teaches various courses including Dutch politics, political psychology, and political elites and leadership. He is a member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW).
His research interests include voting behaviour, comparative politics, political institutions, political elites and leadership, and political psychology.
