Biography

Rudrik holds two masters degrees, a MCom from the University of Pretoria and an MSc from the University of Texas at Dallas, and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). As a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria in South Africa he has taught accounting, auditing and internal auditing for more than 15 years. Since 2005, he has been teaching with a focus on professional post-graduate programs for the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditor’s IAEP. He is author and co-author of numerous books and articles on internal auditing and related topics. After working with the Office of the Auditor-General, he started his academic career at the University of Pretoria. In 2005, 2007 and 2008 he also taught at Louisiana State University in the United States as visiting academic. In 2008 he was invited to present his research at the University of Texas at Dallas’ School of Management and taught at Nanjing Audit University in China in October/November 2013 as part of an exchange programme. He is currently head of the University of Pretoria’s Centre for Internal Auditing Excellence and the South African representative on the Global Institute of Internal Auditors’ Academic Relations Committee.

Research Intrest

His area of interest is auditing and internal auditing.
