Biography

He obtained his BA (Edu; Psy; Hist) degree (1991); B.Ed (Hons – cum laude)(1995); BA-Psy (Hons) 2004 at the University of South Africa. His Higher Diploma in Education, 1992 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal; his FDE-Education Management,1998 and FDE-Adult Basic Education, 2001 (cum laude) at the Rand Afrikaans University; his Master’s Degree in Education Psychology, 1996 – (cum laude) and Doctorates in Education Psychology, 2000 from the University of Zululand. He received the following awards as an ABET Facilitator and Assessor in the Northern Cape: Awarded the top facilitator of adult education at the DeBeers Finsch Mine in 1998, Awarded the top Provincial Adult Facilitator in 1998 in the Northern Cape and Awarded the top Provincial Adult Facilitator in 1999 in the Northern Cape.

Research Intrest

His Research areas are Play based learning, Invitational teaching, learning and management, and Transformative pedagogy. His field of expertise includes foundation Phase Education and Life Skills/ Life Orientation.
