Dr Moodley has been lecturing in the School of Chemistry and Physics, primarily to access students, since 2002. Her research focus areas are analytical/ environmental chemistry and natural products chemistry with a particular attention on indigenous medicinal plants. Her research group includes senior professor, Prof SB Jonnalagadda as well as Masters and PhD students who share an interest in the nutritional and the medicinal value of different indigenous species found in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
