Ronnie Bock completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at Saarland University in Germany, majoring in Genetics/Genetic Engineering, Botany and Biochemistry . He went on to gain his PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Oklahoma State University in the USA. He has researched extensively in the area of infectious diseases in the Government Service of Namibia, before he joined the University of Namibia. He established the Malaria Research Laboratory/Biomedical Research Laboratory of UNAM, together with Dr Davis Mumbengegwi. This laboratory has assisted the Government of Namibia in their campaign to eradicate malaria from Namibia and has attracted major international support and collaboration both on the African continent and abroad.
