Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics (Bachelor's degree) from the Institute of Exact Sciences of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1994-1998). He also completed a degree in Aeronautical Infrastructure Engineering (1994). His doctorate in Physics (emphasis in Biophysics) was obtained at the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute of the State University of Campinas (1999-2003). In addition, he carried out his studies at the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (Campinas, 1999-2003) and the Brookhaven National Laboratory (New York, 2001). He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology of the Biological Sciences Institute of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He has experience in the field of Biophysics, with emphasis on Crystallography of Proteins.
