Árún Kristín Sigurðardóttir Professor and dean of School of Health Sciences, University of Akureyri, Iceland.2008 Acting dean of Faculty of Health, University of Akureyri, Iceland. 2007 associate professor in nursing. 2001 program Director of Nursing Studies Faculty of Health, University of Akureyri, Iceland. 2002 Assistant Dean of Faculty of Health, University of Akureyri, Iceland.She is the directorate for Health in Iceland;Committee regarding nursing shortage in Iceland 2006.Member of the Icelandic Nursing Council from 2000 to present hosted with the Directorate for Health in Iceland.

Árún Kristín Sigurðardóttir research interest includes diabetes and life with diabetes, Reflection and empowerment,Patient education using the empowerment theory,Anesthesia nursing and intensive care nursing.
