Biography

Rita de Cássia de Moura currently working as Professor at the University of Pernambuco (UPE) since 1996, Genetics area, associate category. PhD in Biological Sciences (Genetic Concentration area) and Master in Genetics at UFPE and Graduated in Biological Sciences by UNICAP. Currently teaching in the Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and Member of the permanent faculty of the Program on Applied Cellular and Molecular Biology (UPE) and the Graduate Program in Genetics (UFPE); Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences (UPE) quadrennium; Researcher PQ-2 CNPq. She works in the areas of Genetics and Ecology with emphasis on insects, whose studies are mainly in evolutionary cytogenetics and molecular ecology.
