Biography

Richard completed a BA in Geography and Psychology at the University of Auckland in 1984. He received his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary majoring in New Testament and Old Testament Literature and Exegesis, and received the Merrill F. Unger Award for Old Testament Studies. His PhD in Hebrew Bible is from the University of Cambridge. He has served in church ministries in England, New Zealand, the USA and Canada, and was on the faculty of Briercrest College and Seminary in Canada for five years. Richard is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Theology, Mission and Ministry at Laidlaw College’s Christchurch Campus. Richard is married to Barbara and they have five children.
