Renata Katsuko Takayama Kobayashi holds a bachelor's degree in Biochemical Pharmacy from the State University of Londrina (1993), a master's degree (1997) and a PhD in Microbiology from the State University of Londrina (2006) and postdoctoral fellowship at Institut Armand-Frappier, INRS, Quebec, Canada (2014). She is currently an Associate Professor at the State University of Londrina. Has experience in Microbiology, with emphasis on Basic and Applied Bacteriology. It acts in the molecular diagnosis of virulence genes and bacterial resistance, mainly of the following microorganisms: EXPEC and DEC. Also works in the area of ​​new antimicrobials: Nanoparticles and natural products.
