She holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1995), a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1998) and a PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2002). Postdoctoral degree in Organic Synthesis at the René Rachou Research Center (FIOCRUZ). She is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Has experience in the area of ​​Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry, with emphasis on Organic Synthesis, working mainly on the following topics: planning and synthesis of bioactive substances (antiparasitic and antitumor) and development of new drug release systems.
