Biography

Rebekah worked in various roles at EIT over a period of ten years.  Originally employed in 2002 as the Programme Coordinator for Equine Studies she soon became Programme Coordinator for the Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing, Diploma in Applied Science and Certificate in Science Programmes also.   She was later seconded to the Academic Quality Team as an Academic Advisor for 18 months before being appointed as Programme Leader in the School of Applied Science. Seeking more external experience, Rebekah left EIT in 2012 to take up the position of Hawke’s Bay Manager for an agricultural training centre.  She was soon made responsible for all the educator’s regional sites as their Education Partnerships Manager, managing campuses in Northland, the Waikato, Auckland, the Manawatu, Taranaki, Auckland and Southland as well as Hawke’s Bay. Throughout that time, she maintained links with EIT – not only was she based on EIT’s Hawke’s Bay campus, she also continued to chair EIT’s Animal Ethics Committee. In June 2015 Rebekah returned to EIT as the Head of School, Business and in December, 2015 she was also took on the Head of School, Computing position.
