Biography

Dr. Khaira has been a Pediatrician in Sacramento for 18 years. Dr. Khaira completed his undergraduate work at UC Davis, obtained a Masters of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, and his Medical Doctorate at St. Georges University. Dr. Khaira obtained his post-doctoral training in Pediatrics at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. Dr. Khaira is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Khaira is the Medical Director for 4 children’s clinics in and around Sacramento. Dr. Khaira is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and Public Health and is the Pediatric Clerkship Director here at CNUSOM.

Research Intrest

Dr. Khaira’ s research interest’s center around Pediatric Population Health. Specifically teen pregnancy prevention, vaccine development, safety, efficacy, and compliance. Also, childhood obesity treatment and prevention, food and water safety, and homeless children outreach
