Biography

Raphael O’Hara Boyd is a Professor of Business Law. He is currently serving as the Chair of the Management and Marketing Departments. His educational pursuits have earned him a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law, an M.B.A. from Atlanta University, a B.S. from Atlantic Christian College, and a certification from the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s School. His responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in business law as well other business courses. Raphael’s efforts in the classroom have been highlighted by four Department of Management Teacher of the Year Awards in the School of Business and a nomination for the Aldridge-McMillan Faculty Achievement Award, a universitywide award nomination. He was the subject of a biographical note three times in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and once in Who’s Who in Business Higher Education.

Research Intrest

employment discrimination, medical law, legal accounting, and legal history. He has published in a number of scholarly journals and proceedings, primarily in these areas.
