Biography

Ramon Caminal has been a member of the institute since 1989. He is also Research Fellow of the CEPR. He has taught in Autònoma of Barcelona, Toulouse, Pompeu Fabra, and Oviedo. His research areas are Industrial Economics, Public Economics and Macroeconomics. Recently, he has been working on the impact of bargaining failures on optimal merger policy, the performance of markets in which consumer preferences are subject to temporary satiation, and on the reliability of search engines. Also, he is currently working on the bargaining foundations of team formation and on the effect of language skills on the pattern of social interactions in bilingual societies.
