Biography

Rafael Lima Guimarães currently working as Adjunct Professor of the Department of Genetics of the Federal University of Pernambuco and permanent member of the Graduate Programs in Genetics (PPGG) and in Applied Biology to Health (PPGBAS-LIKA) of UFPE. Graduate in Biological Sciences Bachelor's Degree in the Federal University of Pernambuco and Doctor in Biotechnology in Health by the Northeast Network of Biotechnology - RENORBIO and Post-Doctorate by the Laboratory of Immunopathology Keizo Asami (LIKA / UFPE) and University of Trieste (Italy).

Research Intrest

​​Human Molecular Genetics, with emphasis on analysis of polymorphism associated with different pathologies and Host factors related to the response to antiretroviral treatment in people living with HIV / AIDS.
