Biography

Rachel is a lecturer in Teacher Education and has had extensive experience in the New Entrant classroom as a primary school teacher. She has taught in both Christian and state schools in New Zealand, Australia and South Korea. Since 2004 Rachel has been a part of the BCNZ and Laidlaw community, being a graduate of the Bachelor of Teaching programme. She presently lectures in the areas of Health and PE and English. Rachel is currently working towards a Masters in Educational Leadership through Waikato University.

Research Intrest

Her research interests include the transition period between early childhood education and primary school as well as hauora well-being in health related and movement contexts.
