Biography

Dr. Rachel Katz is the Director of Medical Student Education for the Lewis M. Fraad Department of Pediatrics and site leader for Einstein’s Pediatrics Clerkship. In addition to her passion for medical student education, she is dedicated to helping residents at all levels of training--from beginning interns to senior residents--learn how to become effective teachers. To this end she developed and serves as the director of the department’s Resident as Teacher Program, and has led faculty and resident development in this area both at Einstein and at outside medical institutions. In 2011, she led the development of the Jacobi Kids Program and serves as faculty advisor to the program. Dr. Katz is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and serves as Assistant Dean of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University at Jacobi Medical Center.
