Lakshmi P.T.V obtained Ph.D. from Madras University. She currently holds as an associate Professor in Department of Bioinformatics, School of Life Sciences at Pondicherry University. She has been honoured with Medicinal plant informatics, biofuel production and E-cell simulation and Visiting Fellow at Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan during May-June, 2006. DST- Young Scientist award (2010) and awarded SERB fast track project on “Insilico screening and comparison of Phyto-chemicals to target Angiotensinogen (AGT) of hypertension attributing to heart failure”.
