He is a Professor at the Department of Comparative Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB). I am doing research and teaching in the field of comparative political economy and also in the field of social theory. Between 1967 and 1971 I studied International Relations and I obtained an MA in Economics in 1971 at Karl Marx University of Economic Sciences in Budapest. Between 1972 and 1975 I studied at Eötvös Lóránd University in Budapest, and received an MA in Philosophy in 1975. Between 1971 and 1989 I worked at the Institute of Social Sciences. Since 1989 I have been working at CUB. I was awarded a Ph.D. in Philosophy in 1984. I habilitated at Corvinus University in 1996. I won a British Council scholarship at the London School of Economics in 1985. I spent a semester at Cornell University with an IREX grant in the Fall of 1990. I was Mellon Visiting Scholar at Cornell University in 1994, and a Visiting Scholar at the European Studies Institute at Cornell University in 1997. I gave courses at the Dolibois European Center of Miami University in Luxembourg in 1994 and 1995. Recently I have published articles about the theories of social evolution.
