Professor Chee graduated from the National University of Singapore, obtained her Masters there and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, Edinburgh and College of Ophthalmologists, UK. In 1993, she did her fellowship in Uveitis, and also in Oculoplastics, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital, London. She is currently a Senior Consultant and Head for both Cataract and Ocular Inflammation and Immunology services at the Singapore National Eye Centre; and Professor, National University of Singapore and Duke-National University of Singapore Graduate Medical School, Singapore. She is also the group lead member of both the Ocular Inflammation and Cataract research team at the Singapore Eye Research Institute. most recently, she was conferred by SingHealth, the Outstanding Clinician 2011 Award and the Singapore Health Quality Service Award 2014 (Gold) for her significant contributions.
Cataract, Managing complicated cataracts such as the dense posterior polar cataract, subluxated cataract & IOL, and IOL explantation, Uveitis, Cytomegalovirus infection of the anterior segment, Ocular Tuberculosis, Dengue Maculopathy and Vogt-Koyanagi Harada disease
