Professor (Dr.) T. Dennis Thomas did his M.Sc. Botany from Mahatma Gandhi University. He completed his Ph.D. from Department of Botany, University of Delhi, India. He has Postdoctoral experiences from University of Hamburg, Germany (2007-08), University of Hokkaido, Japan (2009), and Medical University, Wroclaw, Poland (2013). He has been selected as visiting Associate Professor in University of Hokkaido, Japan (2014). He has been awarded Young scientist project by DST in 2003. He obtained DST BOYSCAST Fellowship in 2007. His main interest has been in the field of Plant tissue culture, Secondary metabolite production, Hairy root culture and Plant reproductive biology. He has been awarded INSA visiting Scientist award three times. He has published over 60 research papers in journals of International and National repute and contributed invited chapters to books published from India and abroad. He has guided 5 Ph.D. students. He has completed 3 major projects and 2 minor projects.
