Professor Mujahid completed his postdoctoral fellowships at Indiana University Bloomington, USA (2006) and the University of Birmingham in the UK (2011), where he is an honorary senior research fellow. He is an extraordinary Professor in department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is National Research Foundation (South Africa) rated mathematician. He is also Thomson Reuters highly cited researcher 2015 and 2016. He has 275 research papers in internationally acclaimed journals with 5145 citations, and authored two books on fixed point theory. He is included in Who’s Who in the world@2016 (33rd edition). He is an associate editor of The Scientific World Journal, Creative Math. Inform. Sci., the Journal of Advanced Topology, Journal of Mathematical Analysis and has served as guest editor for Journal of Function Spaces. Currently, he is the guest editor for Journal of Function Spaces and Guest Editor, Special Issue 2017 “Recent Developments in Generalized Metric Spaces and Fixed Point Results with Applications”, Journal of Mathematics. He received the Research Productivity Award 2014 (Category A) from the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology and a gold medal from the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. Professor Mujahid works as a research consultant on different research projects undertaken by King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia. He has supervised three students and two MS students. Currently, he is supervising four PhD students and two MS students. His services and expertise are used regularly within his profession as invited speaker and session chair at conferences and seminars and as a referee and reviewer for publications and post graduate theses. He represented his research work through different seminars and conferences in several countries including UK, Italy, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arab, Thailand, Korea, South Africa and USA.
