Biography

Prof. Dr. Mian Abdul Sattar is Chairman, Theriogenology Department and holds DVM, M.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Veterinary Pathology and Ph.D. in Animal Reproduction from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has over 26 years of teaching, research and administration experience. He has published about 40 research papers in national/ international refereed scientific journals. Dr. Sattar worked in the Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Government of the Punjab for about 21 years at different positions from Veterinary Officer to Deputy Director. He completed his Post Doctoral studies from Federico II University Naples. ITALY under Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme of HEC. His research work during Post Doc was In Vitro Embryo Production in Buffaloes and Cattle. He is life member of Pakistan Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) and Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP). He is working as General Secretary of Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP). He is also reviewer of research papers published in PVJ and JAPS. Dr Sattar delivered many invited lectures at different occasions. He has attended many seminars, workshops and sciences conferences. He has organised different training workshops.
